As a photographer, I know exactly what outfits look great in camera.  Almost all of my clients have expressed some stress about what to wear and occasionally regrets for what they choose. I have a simple solution, let's work together to pick your outfit!

You want to choose creamy and soft neutrals or pastel colors. The good thing about this is that these colors coordinate well in other seasons and can be re-worn.

I recommend avoiding logos, neon colors or very bold patterns. Subtle patterns can work well though.

Clothing with textures, such as a waffle pattern or linen adds depth and interest drawing your eye to the focus of the picture, which is you!  Layering can also help.

For women, especially maternity, I recommend clothes with movement, that are flowy.

However, I also love a light-colored denim jean paired with a neutral top. It blends so seamlessly with the scenery here near the Smoky Mountains. One of my favorite couples’ outfits was matching denim with off-white and linen pastel pink tops

I think the most important factor, is that what you wear feels like YOU and you are comfortable in it. So, take this as a possible suggestion. If what you want to wear does not fit into this guide, I do not want to hinder you from showing up in it and looking beautiful!
