My first session with Sarah and Gaige was years ago, back when they were dating and before the COVID wedding, their first home, and eventually two babies. Over time, I’ve had the privilege of documenting their story as it unfolded, season by season.

Together, they restored a small yellow house in Greenback where they brought their first baby home to. As they prepared for their second child, they were also preparing to move. We moved this session from our normal outdoor park location to the comfort of their old home.

Outside, their son played with the flowers they had planted on the front lawn. We capture him opening the mailbox for the last time which was his looked forward to job. Indoors, with the furniture already gone, the house felt open and still. The empty rooms created space for movement, sweet cuddles, and goodbyes.

This move-out session in Knoxville, Tennessee felt reflective and unhurried, a way of honoring where they’ve been while making room for what’s ahead.

Move-in and move-out sessions offer families and couples a more meaningful alternative to traditional portraits — one rooted in presence rather than posing. They’re especially ideal for indoor photo sessions during the winter months in Knoxville, when staying warm and comfortable at home matters most.

At-home photography invites life to unfold naturally. Whether you’re leaving a first home, settling into a new one, or simply wanting to document a fleeting season, these sessions preserve the quiet moments that often matter most.

Now booking at-home, move-in, and move-out photo sessions in Knoxville and the Smoky Mountains for 2025–2026.
