The Greens came in for a maternity session, and I loved capturing not just the parents-to-be but their toddler too. He was full of laughter, fun, and kisses for mom, dad and bump. Mom and dad brought the babies future toys, and I snapped some sweat photos of him playing with them. Little glimpses into the future. Those little moments are the ones families remember most, and winter doesn’t have to stop them!
Bleak House is such a magical spot for indoor sessions. Its sunroom is full of natural light, peace and privacy which makes it perfect for families, couples, or anyone who wants a stress-free winter experience. At just $50 an hour, it’s an accessible way to celebrate life’s special moments without worrying about the cold. The sunroom is connected to the main historic house which is an experience in itself to get to see. There are a bathroom and the sweetest volunteer who greats you. She had the heater on warming the sunroom before we arrived.

This session was particularly meaningful because I had photographed the Greens just a few months earlier for their gender reveal with a Smoky Mountain backdrop. Back then, their little boy gleefully painted the secret color across Mom and Dad, and we captured candid moments of them frolicking through the open fields together— full of movement, laughter, and the joy of a sister!
This time, the mood shifted to something softer and more intimate. Close-up smiles, gentle cuddles, and quiet moments created their love and the small, fleeting interactions that become treasured memories.
