For Families
We focus on playful, authentic moments — from running, cuddles, and laughter to little personalities shining through. Focus on fun! I’ll guide poses, but the magic comes from natural interactions. I encourage parents to engage with children, laugh, and enjoy the moment. I have had multiple families with little kids leave session worrying if we got any good photos, then they are surprised at what sweet moments I was able to capture!
Toddlers: Expect movement and play — some of the cutest moments are spontaneous!
Home or Outdoor Sessions: Indoor sessions are perfect for winter or cozy lifestyle moments. Outdoor sessions (parks, homes with gardens, or favorite local spots) are great for natural light and movement. Sequoyah Hills Park, Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum, and Seven Islands State Birding Park are a couple of my favorites!
Maternity
Sessions are relaxed and joyful, capturing the glow and connection between you and your partner. I’ll handle all the posing and prompts — all you need to do is show up, and my goal is to highlight your beauty and elegance. You’re welcome to bring meaningful items, such as stuffed animals, outfits you’ve purchased for your baby, or your ultrasound picture. Any special belongings can be incorporated into a simple, beautiful setup to make your session uniquely yours.
For Couples
From lifestyle couples to engagements, these sessions celebrate your love in candid, authentic ways. Choosing your photographer is important — they could be the one capturing your family’s milestones for years to come! I’ve photographed first baby announcements and growing families for couples since day one. Selecting a photographer, you can trust and grow with ensures consistent photos and a comfortable, enjoyable experience. I also guide all poses and prompts, making your session feel fun and effortless — like a special date night!
Preparing for Your Session
Clothing & Styling
I know exactly what outfits look great on camera, and many clients stress about what to wear. Don’t worry — we can work together to pick your outfits!
- Choose soft neutrals or pastel tones.
- Textured fabrics (linin, waffle knit, ribbed tops)
- Layering fabrics
- Clothing with movement looks beautiful!
- Creams, tans, denim, blush, sage, soft blues photograph beautifully
- Avoid neon colors, large logos and super bold patterns
Timing
Best light is early morning or late afternoon but can also be scheduled around your child's routines to ensure they are rested and happy.
